Marlborough House, Home for people with Learning Disabilities
Marlborough House is a registered residential care home which supports twelve adult people who have Learning Disabilities. The home is a Victorian house situated near the sea front of Lowestoft with some bedrooms having sea views. Inside the home we still have some of the original features, for example high ceilings and large rooms, which give our service users a good amount of space to live in and have fun in.
Marlborough House is supported by a team of well trained staff who aim to provide a high standard of care and support for all service users on an individual basis. Service users are involved in the running of the home as much as possible and to do this we have regular meetings where the Manager and service users talk about what happens within the home.
We help and encourage our service users to be as independent as possible according to their own personal choices. Service users are supported to access the local community’s shops, cafes, cinema, Theatre, restaurants, clubs and hairdressers.
ROOM VACANCY - We currently have one bedroom with full ensuite facilities available. The room is offered for respite or a permanent placement to adults over 18 years. The room has views over the sea and "Kensington Gardens". The room is on the third floor and is accessed by stairs or stair lift to floors one and two, then by stairs to floor 3. Please phone the Home Manager, Manda Everett or the Deputy Hayley Tusting with any enquiries.
