Amber Lodge, Home for people with Learning Disabilities
Amber Lodge is situated very close to the award winning South beach in Lowestoft.
It is a pair of four storey Victorian Houses converted into one with accommodation for thirteen adult service users with Learning Disabilities. The rooms are bright and spacious.
Downstairs there is a communal TV lounge, games room, dining room and a large kitchen which service users can access at all times to make hot or cold drinks, snacks or meals. Many rooms have ensuite facilities.
There is a regular bus service just outside the home to Lowestoft town centre and surrounding local community.
Although many different activities are provided within the home, service users are supported and encouraged to join in and enjoy activities and facilities that the local area offers. One to one or smaller group activities are offered to provide and promote choice and equality.
Local theatres and cinemas are accessed along with excursions further a field, such as London Shows, by a local coach operator. Company vehicles are available for service users to go to venues which would otherwise be difficult to access.
We pride ourselves on having a stable team of staff which promotes a friendly family atmosphere within the home.
There are no current room vacancies.
