Woody Point, Home for people with Learning Disabilities

Woody Point is a large six bedded bungalow situated in a quiet area of Brampton. Woody Point provides a scenic and quiet environment for people aged between 18 and 65 with learning disabilities, complex needs, Autistic Spectrum Disorders  and behaviours that may challenge.

Woody Point has a local pub and shop less than a mile walk in the next village. It also has access to the train which runs from Ipswich to Lowestoft.  We also have our own Mini Bus for transport.

Woody Point prides itself on creating a warm, welcoming, friendly and family-like atmosphere. We focus on individuals needs, reflected in person centred care planning. We aim to support individuals to become as independent as possible encouraging them to take part in household daily tasks such as cooking and cleaning.  We aim to support individuals to achieve their own goals and aspirations.  Service Users at Woody Point are encouraged to choose their own decor for their bedrooms, and to personalise their rooms how they want to.

We provide a wide range of social activities including shopping, swimming, bowling, skating and visiting pubs, restaurants and cinemas. We also enjoy day trips to Zoos and Theme Parks.

Annual holidays take place and again individuals preferences are taken into account to provide an enjoyable holiday catering for all individuals interests.
